Barry D. Brooks has more than 25 years
of experience in developing and managing
new health care ventures—from
finance and operations to business development.
He began his health career as the SVP
of finance and later as SVP of associated
operations for a large regional healthcare
system. There he led the development
of the system’s corporate health
division, which became the largest health
care-based corporate health services
operation in the country. He spearheaded
the acquisition
of an ownership share a in a successful
business that operated in an environment
of regional monopoly for more than 10
years.
Barry later founded a managed workers'
compensation company that was used as
the model for a service that became
mandated for all Ohio employers. When
the company was acquired by Anthem Blue
Cross and Blue Shield, Barry served
as a
VP and general manager.
He received a B.S. in accounting and
a M.B.A. from the University of Kentucky.
